📅 Metro 2039 Launches on February 4, 2027

4A Games and Deep Silver have finally announced the exact release date for Metro 2039.

The next installment in the series will launch on February 4, 2027 across all announced platforms:

• PlayStation 5;
• Xbox Series X|S;
• PC — Steam and Epic Games Store.

Previously, the developers had only confirmed a general release window of February 2027. We now have the official date.

🎮 First Console Gameplay

Alongside the release date announcement, the developers also revealed the first full Metro 2039 gameplay footage captured directly on a console.

All footage in the new video was recorded on PlayStation 5 Pro in Performance Mode at 60 FPS.

⚙️ 60 FPS with Ray Tracing

At launch, a performance mode featuring 60 FPS with ray tracing will be available on:

• PlayStation 5;
• PlayStation 5 Pro;
• Xbox Series X.

Specific performance details for Xbox Series S have not yet been announced.

4A Games also stated that Metro 2039 will be the first game in the series designed around ray tracing from the very beginning, rather than receiving the technology later.

The game is being developed using an updated version of the studio’s proprietary 4A Engine, and the developers plan to reveal more details about graphics modes and platform-specific technical features in the coming months.
